Strategy and Planning
Have you inherited a site that lacks clear direction or has developed into a mess over time? Or maybe you’re embarking on a new site build and want to make sure you site delivers on your organization’s objectives. Our tailored strategy workshops help gather and prioritize your requirements, and make sure we build what people need. Out of this comes an effective structure for the site, and a realistic plan for its development. It sounds obvious, but if you don’t work out what you want to do, and what your audience is looking for, your site won’t succeed.
Development
Want your site to look good, and work well for users? We’ve built a range of sites following user-centered principles (see our portfolio). For larger websites, we have partnerships with programmers and designers that work the way we work.
Most of our sites are built using content management systems (or CMSs), such as WordPress, which allow you to update the site easily yourself without having to track down your web developer.

Copywriting and editing
Too often the site content is overlooked in a development project, which is like building a gorgeous store but stocking it with junk you picked up in a hurry just before opening. People read online in a different way from other mediums. With professional journalism and web-writing experience we can convert your existing copy into material that works on the web, or we can write it for you from scratch. We can also create style guides and standards documentation to ensure your employees update the site with clear, jargon-free material.

Social Media
Having a great website is not enough these days. Many visitors expect you to be active in social media, so you can meet them where they spend time, whether that’s Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or Google+. But how do you get started on a social media plan, and what’s the best way to build a community of people who are engaged in your organization and what you do?

Photography
Sometimes what you really need is an image to make your point or grab someone’s attention. As a published photographer as well as a web designer, I’m in a good position to help. Whether it’s a stock image (particularly something Santa Fe, or New Mexico related), or a new shoot you’re after, it can often work out well if I help supply the images.

Hosting
Fed up with expensive and complicated hosting services, and looking for reliable offerings and top-notch support? If you’re one of our clients, you can use our own hosting service that takes the worry out of finding a good host. You’ll get your own control panel access and login, for times when they want to make simple changes themselves, but you also get me checking everything’s working well, and available for any issues that come up.
So rather than paying hosting fees, and then paying me for support, this way I come as part of the package, with a service that’s more reliable and easier to use anyway.
